Fergie wasn’t afraid to express how she really felt when she first discovered she was pregnant. The Black Eyed Peas singer’s husband Josh Duhamel dished on “the first words out of her mouth” to the New York Post’s Page Six on Tuesday.
"She was the one when we first found out that was like, 'This [bleep] just got real. Those were the first words out of her mouth,'" said Duhamel, who is currently starring alongside Julianne Hough in Safe Haven.
Fergie, 37, announced her pregnancy on Twitter earlier this month. "Josh & Me & BABY makes three!!! #mylovelybabybump," she wrote.
Duhamel, 40, says he is confident that fatherhood will come easily to him. “I'm not 24, I've got some life experience that I think I can impart," he told Page Six. "My mother was the disciplinarian and my father was more of a free spirit. Hopefully I'm somewhere in between."
Fergie and Duhamel tied the knot in January 2009 after four years of dating.
