The 48-year-old actor treated Italian TV presenter Elisabetta Canalis to the Cartier band to show his commitment to their fledgling romance.
In Touch Weekly magazine reports: It’s not an engagement ring - but it is a sign they’re getting serious.
George is head over heels in love with Elisabetta, 31, who he started dating in July.
He has already asked her to live with him at his California home, and has bought her a string of romantic gifts to show his love.
Among the items he has treated her to are a Hermes Kelly bag and several pairs of designer high heels. He is even considering splashing out on a sports car for her.
A source said: Every day is like Christmas at George’s house for Elisabetta. He’s even looking at a Maserati car. He’s had a great life for a long time, but she seems to make him very happy.
Although it is unknown how the couple met, Elisabetta - who hosts the Italian version of MTV show 'Total Request Live' is understood to have a villa on Lake Como, where George also has a home.
