The Bad Boys singer who shot to fame after winning UK TV talent show The X Factor has been single for a year and admits all her previous romances have been a disaster.
She told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: I was 16 when I had my first relationship. It lasted about two years. Then I dated another guy for six months last year but he was a bit of a nutcase.
I let him go just before X Factor went live. He was very insecure and I have no time for that. There’s been no one since.
I am looking for a boyfriend though. I have never been in love but I want to feel that. I’m ready for it.
Despite her single status, the 21-year-old star has been on dates with Gavin and Stacey actor James Corden who sent her a £4,000 watch after she won The X Factor but insists they will never be more than friends.
She said: We’ve stayed in touch ever since he sent me the watch and we even went to see Thriller Live together a couple of weeks ago.
He’s still trying it on. But sorry James, it’s never going to be more than friends.
Alexandra has also been romantically linked to rapper Chipmunk and JLS star Aston Merrygold after they were seen dancing together at the MOBO awards last month but she claims she isn’t interested in either of them.
She added: Chipmunk is a bit young for me. But he is a very cute guy and we have loads of mutual friends. Aston is like my brother. Don’t get me wrong, he is a great-looking dude. But nothing is going to happen.
