Minera Andes Inc. (TSX: MAI) has announced their production results for the San Jose mine for the third quarter of 2009. During the third quarter the mine produced 1,402,000 ounces of silver and 22,470 ounces of gold of which 49% it attributable to Minera Andes. The production in the third quarter for silver was 11% higher and gold production was 24% higher compared to the second quarter of 2009. Sales of silver were 4% higher and gold was 28% higher in the third quarter of 2009 compared to the second quarter from the higher production and products inventory decrease.
