Borat 2: Sacha Baron Cohen inks Deal after Rupert Murdoch “Laughed Like Hell.”
Once wasn’t enough and apparently a second screening wasn’t either so News Corp. CEO Rupert Murdoch witnessed the runaway hit "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan" three times and declared that he “laughed like hell” watching the Sacha Baron Cohen character single-handedly poke holes in the fabric of American society.
Cohen will once again bring Borat back to the big screen for Murdoch. It was News Corp.’s film division that released the blockbuster hit last year.
The recently Golden Globe Award winner and Oscar nominated Cohen is currently filming a movie based on another one of his eccentric characters, Bruno, a gay Austrian whose flamboyance has landed him in some close calls with unsuspecting participants in interviews.
Murdoch has confirmed that once Cohen completes his current film he will “come back and do Borat Two.”
