Close-Up Talk Radio Spotlights LaVonne Shields of Bookkeeping On Steroids

Ontario, CA – The tax season can be a tense time for individuals and businesses of all shapes and sizes. Many people lose sight of the importance of keeping track of their finances on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis leading up to a terribly unorganized annual report of where they stand financially. LaVonne Shields, founder of Bookkeeping On Steroids will show you that the solution is in a highly effective bookkeeping system, which she has personally developed.

Money management (begin with her allowance and selling girl scout cookies) was a hobby that drove LaVonne even as a young child. “While most kids played house, I was playing office! In between school breaks instead of going to the mall, I would work for my dad’s record label in various departments learning a wide variety of essential administrative skills,” exclaims Shields.

After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, LaVonne spent years with several companies gaining vast experience and knowledge within accounting departments.

“What I learned most from my previous work experience is that the process of accounting is really convoluted. People make it more difficult than necessary. With my experience in admin and understanding of accounting, I was able to develop a system that enabled me to complete my work in 20 hours as opposed to the typical 40-hour week. I realized it was time to work myself and started Bookkeeping On Steroids in 1999.”

Working with companies of varying sizes and a variety of industries, LaVonne sees the main issues that disrupt proper administrative and managerial productivity.

“Many people tend to over-think accounting or not think of it all. Filing and tracking of receipts often bog down a lot of people and they may wait until the last minute and then wonder why the financial numbers don’t reflect what they expected. Others simply don’t want to be bothered with bookkeeping and again wonder why their financial reports at the end of the year are a mess. With my system, in about an hour or two a week, depending on the size of the company, we can manage and keep track of all financial aspects effectively.”

With Bookkeeping On Steroids, people can trust that their financial records will be organized and maintained without the headaches they may have faced in the past. Among the services that LaVonne’s system provides are data entry, bank reconciliation, generation and review of profit and loss, creation of customized financial reports, and tax returns.

“The process is simple. I go in and take a look at each client’s operation. I help design their accounting system for them so that they can manage it. I train and consult their departments to work with the system and stay in constant contact to monitor and handle any issues that might arise.”

In addition, LaVonne offers several different consulting programs that include QuickBooks On Steroids, monthly financial reports, and tax return preparation.

LaVonne will be hosting the Bookkeeping on Steroids Teleseminar Dollars and Sense: Understanding Your Numbers and What They Really Mean on May 8th at 9:00am PST.  LaVonne will be sharing ways for people to better manage financial records, develop accounting policies/procedures, and read/interpret financial reports/transactions. The 1st 5 people that register will get a copy of her book QuickBooks on Steroids and a FREE 30 consultation on their accounting system.
