Britney Spears shared her excitement for her newly-engaged sister on Twitter early Monday. The pop star, who ended her own engagement to her former manager Jason Trawick in January, wrote “So excited and happy for my sister, congrats @jamielynnspears - love you.”
Jamie Lynn Spears, 21, announced the news Saturday with Instagram pictures of her ring and her fiancé, businessman Jamie Watson. "Guesssss what??????” she captioned a picture of herself showing off her ring.
Spears, who has a 4-year-old daughter named Maddie with ex-boyfriend Casey Aldridge, has been dating Watson on and off for 3 years. Their engagement comes nearly two months after Britney, 31, announced her split from Trawick.
"Jason and I have decided to call off our engagement," Spears, who has two sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline, said in a statement in early January. "I'll always adore him and we will remain great friends."
Trawick added: "As this chapter ends for us a new one begins. I love and cherish her and her boys and we will be close forever."
