Hot Topic, Inc. (NASDAQ:HOTT) shares moved up after it declared its agreement with the Sycamore Partners. According to agreement, Sycamore Partners will attain Hot Topic for $14.00 per share in cash, or a total of approximately $600 million. The agreement, which has been consistently approved by Hot Topic’s Board of Directors, represents a premium of almost 30% over Hot Topic’s closing stock price on March 6, 2013.
In the last trading session, Hot Topic, Inc. (NASDAQ:HOTT) surged +29.02% to close at $13.87 and its total traded volume was 24.26 million shares. HOTT has earnings per share of $0.38.
Navistar International Corp (NYSE:NAV) shares jumped to an 8-month high after announcing quarterly results. It reported narrow loss of $1.42 per share as compared to the $2.06 per share in the same quarter of last year. The company also declared that its Board of Directors has appointed Troy Clarke as president and chief executive officer, effective April 15.
Navistar International Corp (NYSE:NAV) gained +27.76% and closed at $31.89 in the last trading session with the overall traded volume of 16.81 million shares more than the average volume of 1.80 million.
Ciena Corporation (NASDAQ:CIEN) moved up +17.34% to close at $17.53 and its total traded volume in the last trading session was 17.72 million shares. Its fifty two week range was $18.39-$11.44. The total market capitalization remained $1.78 billion.Ciena Corporation (Ciena) is a provider of communications networking equipment, software and services that support the transport, switching, aggregation and management of voice, video and data traffic.
