Close-Up Talk Radio spotlights Sally Moore of perks n moore

Boynton Beach, FL – According to a recent study conducted by the National Alliance for Caregiving, nearly a third of the country’s adult population is a caregiver for an ill or disabled relative. We need caregivers because our loved ones need care, but the responsibility of being a caregiver takes a personal toll.

perks n moore is a non-profit organization dedicated to addressing the emotional needs of caregivers. Lead by Sally Moore, perks n moore seeks to empower caregivers by restoring their self-esteem and improving their skills.

“My hope is for perks n moore to be a sanctuary where caregivers can relax, socialize and improve their skills through mentoring and support,” says Moore. “I want caregivers to know they’re not alone. They do have options and places to go.”

perks n moore is the result of Moore’s 30-year journey advocating for caregivers across the country. She believes we’re losing caregivers because no one teaches them how to take care of themselves. With proper support and education, caregivers can discover the joy, the selflessness and unconditional love of this responsibility.

“I tried to make each day a joy. If my husband didn’t have a tomorrow, at least he had today,” says Sally Moore, founder of perks n moore. “Every night before bed I would thank him for the wonderful day we shared and how much I loved him.”

“There’s a lot of sorrow but it can also be a joy-filled experience. It doesn’t have to be such a burden,” says Sally Moore. “If you never look up when it’s raining you’ll never see a rainbow.”

Close-Up Talk Radio will feature perks n moore in a four-part interview with Jim Masters on March 13th and March 20th at 11am EST and with Doug Llewelyn on March 27th and April 3rd at 11am EST.
