Reality TV has not seen the last of Bachelor Sean Lowe yet! Not only is the 29-year-old Dallas native planning to televise his wedding to fiancé Catherine Giudici, he is also competing on the new season of Dancing with the Stars. During his appearance Tuesday morning on Good Morning America, Sean announced that he has been paired with Australian pro Peta Murgatroyd.
Sean tells People he decided to compete after receiving Catherine’s full support. "When they asked me, the first thing I did was call Catherine because I wanted to make sure she was on board and was fully supportive. I didn't want her to feel left out. I wanted her to know that she was going to be involved and she's going to be a big part of this with me,” he says.
Sean is the third Bachelor/Bachelorette alum to compete on Dancing with the Stars. Bachelorette Melissa Rycroft originally competed on season 8 and placed third. She returned for the all star season last year and won the mirror ball trophy. Bachelor Jake Pavelka competed on season 10 and placed seventh.
Season 16 of Dancing with the Stars kicks off on March 18. Celebrity competitors include Victor Ortiz, Lisa Vanderpump, Kellie Pickler, Jacoby Jones, Wynonna Judd, Andy Dick, Aly Raisman, Ingo Rademacher, Zendaya Coleman, Dorothy Hamill and D.L. Hughley.
