The Notre Dame Fighting Irish could have star receiver Michael Floyd back on the field as early as November after news that the sophomore’s broken collarbone is healing much faster than anticipated.
Floyd suffered the injury in Notre Dame’s 33-30 win over Michigan State back in week three of the season. It was originally thought that Floyd would miss the remainder of the season but coach Charlie Weis said on Tuesday that he would be in full pads for the team’s evening practice.
Weis said that Floyd could be ready as early as November 2 when the Irish face Pittsburgh.
