Macy's, Inc. (NYSE:M) is another stock which surpassed its earlier 52-week and today made a fresh new high at $20.36. Now the stock is up 1.55% at $19.92 on massive volume of 10.26 million shares. The company today announced its fourth Annual “Shop For a Cause” charity shopping event, which has raised nearly $28 million for charities across the country since 2006. International Business Machines Corp. (NYSE:IBM) crossed its earlier 52-week highs and today made a new high at $127.39. The stock is up 0.06% at $127.11 on 3.93 million shares. Today IBM Corporation announced that it signed an eight-year agreement to install and manage a new utility services billing system for the City of Austin that is designed to improve customer service while preparing the city for broader green energy initiatives. The company also announced the results of a collaborative effort with Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. (TMS) and Southern California Edison to reduce energy costs and consumption in the TMS data center with the use of IBM's Measurement and Management Technologies (MMT) - a tool set created by IBM Research - which measures, manages and reduces data center energy consumption.
