George Clooney is reportedly back on the market! The actor, who has famously declared he will never remarry or have children, is said to have split from his girlfriend Stacy Keibler because she is ready for marriage and babies.
“They knew it was never going to end in marriage or babies and Stacy does want kids and a husband in the next few years,” an insider tells The Sun.
The Sun reports Clooney, 51, was kind enough to “soften the breakup blow” with an apartment and jewelry for the 33-year-old former wrestler. The couple began dating in July 2011 shortly after Clooney’s split from Italian actress Elisabetta Canalis.
Neither Clooney nor Keibler has commented. Clooney is currently in Germany filming The Monument's Men.
In 2008, Clooney explained why he doesn’t want marriage or children. “I don’t expect to ever get married again or have children,” he told Britain’s People. “I am never at home and every woman gets sick of it. … If I was them, I would never put up with me for long — and they don’t.”
“I do begin to wonder, ‘Am I going to be relegated to these three-year relationships for the rest of my life?’ My trouble is that I keep on taking jobs, and jobs take me further away from home,” he added. “What I really have is work. I like being on a film set, freezing my ass off, or whatever.”
