AccuCode Inc., a pioneer of the “as a Service” model, will be exhibiting its AO: Networks solution at the International Health, Racquet and Sportsclub Association’s (IHRSA) 32nd Annual International Convention and Trade Show in Las Vegas on March 19-22.
AO: Networks is an affordable, hassle-free way to install and maintain a cloud-based wireless network. The company provides a site assessment, hardware and configures the network according to the specifications of the fitness center. AccuCode can also build customized applications for mobile devices, either owned by the customer or the facility.
“Technology is taking on an increasingly important role in the fitness community—members expect to be able to track the progress of their work out on mobile devices and fitness equipment,” said Kevin Price, CEO of AccuCode, Inc. “We are looking forward to attending the IHRSA Convention to demonstrate the capabilities of AO: Networks and discuss how the use of technology can enhance any fitness center or gym.”
Recently, AccuCode has been pursuing a series of joint ventures within the fitness community to provide wireless networking technology that will enhance streaming media capabilities, options for workout tracking and other bandwidth needs.
At the conference, AccuCode will announce their partnership with California-based Netpulse to bring AO: Networks into the clubs it serves. Netpulse is a personalized media and data platform that delivers interactive experiences and automated workout tracking to active lifestyle consumers. Netpulse has partnered with the leading fitness equipment manufacturers to deliver a universal networked solution for fitness facilities worldwide.
“The fitness world is moving to a personalized workout experience through platforms like ours, making internet connectivity critical to any health club’s success. So it is important to have a reliable, high bandwidth wireless network installed and monitored by a leading service provider,” said Bryan Arp, Netpulse co-founder and CEO. “AccuCode is at the forefront of wireless networking technology, which is why we selected them to provide connectivity to all of our equipment manufacturing partners. Our partnership will help fitness club owners—whether it’s a chain of clubs or a gym in an exclusive resort—implement networks that work on the first try, without the need for expensive service calls or complaints from frustrated members.”
The IHRSA Convention will take place at the Mandalay Bay Hotel. Historically the fitness industry’s largest US-based gathering of health club operators, suppliers, and fitness industry professionals— IHRSA 2013 will spotlight the newest and most innovative equipment, programs, technology, exercise trends and industry best practices. Last year’s convention drew more than 11,800 people from 80 countries.
