EnerJex Resources, Inc. is an oil and natural gas acquisition, exploration and development company, focused primarily on four sites in Eastern Kansas. Located in what the company reports is one of the top ten domestic producing regions, one site is considered slightly deep (about 1,800 ft) and the other three are considered shallow (600 feet or deeper).
EnerJex’s principal strategy is to focus on the acquisition of oil and natural gas leases that have existing production, cash flow, and additional drillable locations. This risk-averse approach seems to be working--in the last two years, the company has drilled 167 wells and only three ended up being “dry holes”.
