Lululemon Recalls Yoga Pants For Sheer Material

Lululemon Athletica has issued a massive recall for their black luon yoga pants due to the fabric being too sheer. The company says it is unclear why the fabric is see-through because the formula of the fabric has not changed. The affected pants, which make up 17% of women's pants sold in stores, “falls short” of their “very high standards,” the company says.

“We have not yet determined the cause of the sheerness. We have been producing luon with Eclat since 2004. We have been in conversation with our primary contact at Eclat since we first discovered this issue and our sourcing manager for raw materials is currently at Eclat’s facilities in Taiwan,” says a statement on their website.

"The ingredients, weight and longevity qualities of the pants remain the same, but the coverage does not, resulting in a level of sheerness in some of our women's black Luon bottoms that falls short of our very high standards," the company says. "We want you to Down Dog and Crow with confidence and we felt these pants didn't measure up."

Lululemon is offering exchanges or full refunds for pants included in the recall.
