Bobby Brown completed his 55 day jail sentence in less than 24 hours due to overcrowding at the L.A. County jail. The New Edition singer, who received jail time for his third DUI charge, served just 9 hours. He was taken into custody before 10 a.m. on Wednesday and was released at 6:58 that evening.
Brown, ex-husband of the late Whitney Houston, has not commented. His third DUI arrest occurred in October 2012, just 5 months after his second DUI arrest. The 44-year-old was sentenced last month to 55 days in jail, 4 years of probation, and an 18 month alcohol program. Brown’s first DUI conviction occurred in 1996.
Brown has a 20-year-old daughter named Bobby Kristina with Whitney Houston. He wed his longtime manager Alicia Etheridge last June after a 2 year engagement. They have a 3-year-old son together named Cassius.
