The VCNL3020 series offers fully integrated, surface mount proximity sensors with an infrared emitter. These devices, with 16-bit resolution, include a signal processing IC and feature standard I2C communication interface and an interrupt function.

Offering low standby current consumption of 1.5 μA, these integrated16-bit proximity sensors are ideal for applications including mobile devices (smart phones, touch phones, PDAs, GPS) for touch screen locking, with an optical switch for the consumer.
