Best Buy (NYSE: BBY), a multinational retailer of technology and entertainment products, has announced plans to open its first 24-hour retail store in New York.

The Best Buy will be located in New York City’s Union Square, at the corner of 14th Street and Fourth Avenue with operating hours set for 8:00 a.m. Monday through midnight Saturday. The store will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
According to a release issued by the Best Buy the new store will “provide a much-needed resource for the downtown Manhattan community, including students from nearby universities and many New Yorkers who often have conflicting schedules with traditional store hours.”
The release also noted, “The 24-hour store in lower Manhattan will provide around-the-clock in-store service and support to customers, including Geek Squad services and in-store pick-up of items purchased via online or phone channels.”
