Falcon Henne, the six-year-old Colorado boy originally thought to be trapped inside a wayward helium balloon, has been found safe in his family’s attic.
According to Colorado police Henne had been hiding in a box while the rest of the nation followed images of a homemade helium balloon drift thousands of feet above the ground across the state. It was thought that Falcon had stowed away in a compartment of the balloon but when it touched down police and paramedics found no signs of the boy.
A search of the areas the balloon covered was quickly organized after witnesses reported seeing something fall from the craft but police eventually surmised that the young boy had never been along for the ride.
After a closer search at the family’s house Falcon was found tucked away in a box, apparently aware that his actions had sparked worldwide attention.
