American Music Icon Lyle Lovett to Perform at Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville May 13

Four-time Grammy winner and 2011 Texas State Musician Lyle Lovett has garnered immense praise throughout his performance career for consistently blurring the lines between American music genres and creating an original storytelling voice. His distinct lyrical style has drawn comparisons to Randy Newman, Townes Van Zandt, and Guy Clark, though Lovett’s literary lyrical crafting is indelibly his own.

Drawing from jazz, country, bebop, gospel, folk, and blues, Lovett has become a highly revered performer and iconic figure in the evolving landscape of Americana since his recording debut in 1986. Over his career, he has even taken successful forays into acting, featured in television and film roles that have drawn even more attention to his musical endeavors.

Performing an intimate show for the Country Music Capital, Lyle Lovett and His Acoustic Group will be at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center for what is sure to be a very special night from one of the most beloved living American troubadours.
