Teen Parent & Infant Program receives free customized website from local Web Development Company
Hudson Horizons teams up with United Way and M&T bank to launch site for nonprofit organization
Web Development Company Hudson Horizons recently launched a new website for West Side Infant and Teen Parent Program, a nonprofit organization that helps young parents gain the skills and confidence to become knowledgeable, responsible, self-sufficient care givers for their children.
West Side offers a variety of programs, including day care and infant care in a state licensed facility, complete with stimulating and interactive activities arranged monthly. West Side also offers supervised practicum as well as Life Skills classes and one-on-one counseling sessions to help young parents deal with personal issues and individual growth.
For this project, Hudson Horizons was humbled to offer their quality design, development and SEO services to West Side free of charge, while United Way and M&T bank offered financial consideration.
The new West Side website features background information about the West Side mission and programs, a section devoted to upcoming events and organization news, as well as photo galleries of program participants and their children.
To give site owners full control over their online content, Hudson Horizons integrated its dynamic SEO-friendly Content Management System into the West Side website. This unique CMS gives administrators 24/7 access to every element of the site in a user-friendly interface, including body text, images, contact forms, news and events, Meta tags, alt attributes, and URL structure.
Moreover, Hudson Horizons has integrated PayPal technology into the West Side website to facilitate much-needed donations for the budding program. Because West Side is a nonprofit 503 organization, the program truly depends on the kindness of the public; all donations are tax deductible, and can be made easily through the West Side website thanks to this dynamic technology.
“Because of the generosity and great work of Hudson Horizons, West Side Infant and Teen Parent Program now has a beautiful, easily accessible, and professional website,” said West Side Executive Director Darlene Serrano. “[The site] will give us the opportunity to share information about our program and provide a much needed fundraising tool. We are extremely grateful to Hudson Horizons.”
Scott Reddin, long time Board Member at West Side, was also pleasantly impressed with the efforts of the Hudson Horizons Web Development team, commenting that the finished product “is about as professional as any website I have seen. It is very easy to navigate,” he continued, and also made note that the vibrant colors playfully yet appropriately reflect the program’s target participants.
