American Idol Judge, Paula Abdul, Denies Reports of Drinking and Drugs

Fortunately for “American Idol” the public has taken a break from questioning the criminal past of some of the reality shows contestants. Unfortunately for “American Idol” the public has turned their attention to the behavior of one of their judges, and this time it’s not Simon Cowell.

Paula Abdul has been at the center of speculation concerning recent behavior she has exhibited in recent interviews and on “American Idol.”

While never denying that she once suffered from an eating disorder, Abdul was incensed over claims that she has been drinking or possibly taking drugs, “I've never been drunk. I have never done recreational drugs.”

The Grammy winning artist went on to say “Just look at my 20-year career. Tell me someone who is into partying or doing drugs that could have done that.”

Abdul has six number one hits to her credit and has sold over 32 million albums. She joined Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson in 2002 for "American Idol." She signed a three-year extension in 2006 to remain a judge on the Fox show.
