Buckwild star Shain Gandee has died at the age of 21. Gandee’s body was found around 11:00 a.m. Monday in a vehicle parked on a dirt road in Sissonville, West Virginia. The MTV reality star’s uncle, 48-year-old David Gandee, and an unidentified person were also found dead in the car.
Kanawha County officials have not revealed the cause of death of the Gandees or the third person. The Gandees were reported missing Sunday. They were last seen around 3 a.m. on Sunday at Larry’s Bar in Sissonville.
“We are shocked and saddened by the terrible news about Shain Gandee, and those involved in this tragic incident," MTV said in a statement. "We are waiting for more information but at this time, our main concern is for the Gandee family and their friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with them. Shain had a magnetic personality, with a passion for life that touched everyone he met and we will miss him dearly.”
Buckwild debuted in January. The show follows 9 friends as they find ways to have fun in Sissonville and Charleston, West Virginia.
