College Football Scores: #11 Iowa Hawkeyes Use Second Half Surge to Drop Wisconsin Badgers, Stay Perfect

Ricky Stanzi was 17/23 passing for 218 yards and a touchdown, Derrell Johnson-Koulianos  had eight receptions for 113 yards and Adam Robinson collected 91 yards on the ground as the #11 Iowa Hawkeyes (7-0, 3-0) used a big second half to knock off the Wisconsin Badgers (5-2, 2-2) 20-10 in Big Ten action on Saturday.

Both offenses struggled in the opening frame and failed to put any points on the board but the Badgers got things moving in the second and Philip Welch put them in front 3-0 with a 34-yard field goal. That lead was extended to 10-0 when Montee Ball scored on a 10-yard run and Wisconsin had things going their way. Iowa finally managed to get on the board late in the second on a 37-yard field goal from Daniel Murray and the Hawkeyes would go into the half trailing 10-3.

The Hawkeyes offense started to click in the third and they tied the game at 10-10 after Stanzi found Tony Moeaki on a 24-yard touchdown pass. Iowa then grabbed their first lead of the game in the opening minutes of the fourth quarter when Adam Robinson scored on a 10-yard run to jump in front 17-0. The Hawkeyes defense continued to dominate the Badgers stalled offense and that led to the game-clinching field goal from Murray with 5:17 left on the clock.
