College Football News: University of Connecticut CB Jasper Howard Killed in On-Campus Stabbing at School Dance

University of Connecticut cornerback Jasper Howard was killed early Sunday morning after an unknown assailant stabbed the junior standout during a fight at an on-campus dance.

According to reports Howard was at the dance with several friends following the Huskies win over the Louisville Cardinals earlier in the day. At some point a fight broke out and Howard, along with a second person, was stabbed.

Howard and the second victim were rushed to Windham Community Memorial Hospital shortly after 12:30 a.m. and upon arrival Howard was airlifted to St. Francis Hospital in Hartford where he died from his injuries.

Police are still searching for a suspect but don’t believe the murder was a random act.
