Nature’s imperfections gone in a puff!

How today’s TV makeup artists make you look your best.

When Creative Bube Tube is hired to produce TV commercials for their clients, they want their actors looking perfect.  Jenny Munford, Creative Bube Tube’s President says “with the ever-increasing skewing towards hyper-clarity visual mediums such as High Def, traditional make-up application methods which tend to use a ‘more-is-less approach’, result in less-than-flattering images. We were finding that viewers were focusing on the imperfections of our on-screen talent rather than the messages our clients were trying to deliver. We took a look at what elite filmmakers were using and found a neat little bit of technology called a make-up airbrush.”

Make-up artist Natalja Robertsdottir, is a recent addition to the Bube Tube team and is their resident exclusive high-definition magician.  Natalja hails from Iceland, a country of Fire, Ice and Style.  Her innate skills as an artist along with her passion for excellence helped her graduate top of her class at the prestigious  - Mac Cosmetics affiliated  Emm school of makeup in Iceland.  Natalja has worked for Mac Cosmetics in Iceland, and done freelancing for both the Icelandic and Canadian markets, in fashion, advertising and film.

Robertsdottir explains it: “The airbrush, using a small amount of pressurized air, forces the makeup through a tiny, thin nozzle, which delicately sprays on an ultra-light mist that provides a covering infinitely more sheer than traditional makeup application methods.” Actors as well, seem to find the process less invasive and as she puts it: “When I’m finished…you look flawless!”
