Season 16 Dancing with the Stars contestants were saved from facing the first elimination last week because Dorothy Hamill voluntarily bowed out due to a spinal injury. That meant the first elimination by fan votes would be done this week following the stars’ prom-themed routines. On Tuesday night, Wynonna Judd and Andy Dick landed in the bottom two. It was Judd and her partner Tony Dovolani who got the boot, leaving Dick and Sharna Burgess to dance another week.
"It's a bittersweet thing. I have so much to be grateful for," the country singer told Us Weekly after her elimination. "I don't want to go home, but I know that it's time for me to be doing something else. I've been doing this for thirty years and I know that 'no' today means a better 'yes' tomorrow. I don't know what that is yet, but I'll show up!"
Judd admitted that her only regret was letting down Dovolani, who won the all-star season with Melissa Rycroft last year. "I wanted to continue to be the best student for Tony's sake," she said. "I almost feel worse for him than I do for myself, that's just the way I feel."
"You shouldn't feel that way!" Dovolani argued. "She never quit, she showed up every day with a bright smile on her face and a shake for me! So that's the part that I can't thank you enough for. I've had many different partners, but no one has a heart like Wynonna. I admire this woman so much."
In addition to Dick, the remaining contestants include Sean Lowe, Lisa Vanderpump, Kellie Pickler, Victor Ortiz, Jacoby Jones, D.L. Hughley, Zendaya, Aly Raisman and Ingo Rademacher.
