Address Verification and ZIP+4 Data Now Available in Microsoft Excel

CDX Technologies has released the newest version of the software CDXStreamer™, a Microsoft Excel add-in that performs address verification and ZIP and ZIP+4 code lookup.

CDX Technologies has released the newest version of the software CDXStreamer, a Microsoft Excel add-in that performs address verification and ZIP and ZIP+4 code lookup. CDXStreamer is a web-based software that works entirely within Microsoft Excel, and provides an affordable and convenient alternative to conventional address verification and data services.

"Address verification usually requires exporting data to a new application, or even sending files to a vendor and waiting for the results," says CDX Technologies president Bill Hughes. "CDXStreamer is a low-cost option that small and large businesses can use to check the accuracy of their address lists and reduce the costs associated with bad data. It has a patented interface that's easy to learn - and the user works in the familiar environment of Excel, where the spreadsheet format allows for easy data input and analysis of many addresses, ZIP+4, and even Canadian postal codes.”

CDXStreamer includes an address correction feature that converts addresses to standard U.S. Postal Service format, corrects misspellings, and provides street address correction as necessary. As a web-based service, the large databases required to support address correction and validation reside on CDX Technology servers, so users of the software do not need to download or store any data locally.

For lists of ZIP+4 codes, CDXStreamer can retrieve allowable address ranges as well as provide access to U.S. Census Bureau TIGER data, such as census block and tract information and latitude and longitude coordinates. The U.S. Postal Service TIGER (Topological Integrated Geographic Encoding and Referencing) database used by CDXStreamer was designed to relate ZIP+4 coded address lists to demographic data from U.S. Census surveys.

CDXStreamer can be evaluated free for seven days. It is compatible with all Excel 32- and 64-bit versions beginning with Excel 2000. CDXStreamer is also customizable for other databases or Microsoft Office applications.
