George Matthews, Owner and Operator of Elite Graphic Designer located in Saint John, New Brunswick has launched the Atlantic Canada Web Awards; an award geared toward Graphic and Web Designers throughout Atlantic Canada. It is currently in it's infancy and we'll tell you a little bit about who it will affect and why you should care.
Atlantic Canada Web Awards has already been launched and is waiting for entries from the talented designers of Atlantic Canda. What the Awards hope to accomplish is to give the designers of Atlantic Canada a head start, a way to get their names known, wether they are small companies, large companies, or freelancers trying to make it. It will give people who are looking for a logo, website or print work for their businesses a place to go to find the best that there is to offer thoughout the Atlantic Provinces. Hopefully, bringing more work to Atlantic Canada, and allowing Atlantic Canadian businesses to look here when needing work done.

What we're doing is making more oppourtunities for Atlantic Canada. Not all people know the difference between the $500 website that most people are getting from students, and the $5,000 website that they need to give themselves the edge. Our hope is to make it known that cheaper, education, and length of time in the business isn't always the best. It's what you can do that should dictate your sucesses or failures. We're going to give the young, talented freelancer a shot at success in a market that's hard to crack, and we're going to give Atlantic Canadian businesses the chance to choose those people, and keep them here.
