PITTSBURGH, Penn. (October 19, 2009) -- Tellman Knudson is aiming to be the first person ever to run across America barefoot.  He started in New York City on September 9th and is more than 320 miles along his journey to L.A., working his way through Pennsylvania.

On Tuesday, Tellman will be visiting The Hub, an outreach center run by Three Rivers Youth, at 26th & Smallman (in the Bittman building) in Pittsburgh, drawing attention to the plight of homeless and at-risk youth.  He hopes to use his historic run to raise $100 million for the cause.  Brett Keisel of the Steelers will be with Tellman to lend a hand (and a football) to this worthy cause.

Later tomorrow, Pittsburgh’s premier specialty running shop, Elite Runners and Walkers, at Chiodo's Plaza in McKees Rocks will host a meet and greet with Tellman who will sign autographs, take pictures and share stories about running barefoot and about training to run barefoot (he used Vibrams FiveFingers in preparation).  Come meet Tellman  between 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. at the store.
