Britney Spears and New York Fashion Week, a “Bag” Idea
Britney Spears is apparently unaware of the recent reputation that she has been bestowed.
While being known for not wearing certain articles of clothing and drinking until you puke may get you entry into the hottest clubs in Hollywood and Las Vegas it won’t get you a Heatherette clutch bag. For Spears, she had to learn the hard way.
The “Toxic” singing mother of two was trying to procure a limited edition clutch from model/designer Lydia Hearst but unfortunately for Spears her reputation preceded her.
Hearst had already decided that she would only be giving the bag “to accomplished young women who are doing something positive to affect the world around them. They are women I look up to and respect, like Gwyneth Paltrow, Sarah Jessica Parker and Anne Hathaway. They share the same high standards, and give back to the communities in which they live.”
Learning that she was not “accomplished” nor “respected” Spears elected to skip the Heatherette fashion show during New York Fashion Week.
Leslie Sloane Zelnick, the busy rep of Britney Spears commented on the reports and said “It’s not true.”
