After years of battling infertility, Tom Arnold is finally a dad! The actor welcomed a healthy baby boy with wife Ashley Groussman on Saturday, April 6 in Los Angeles. Jax arrived at 9:53 a.m. weighing 8 lbs., 12 oz. and measuring 21 inches long.
“We are still in a bit of shock,” the new parents tell People magazine. “It has been a long journey and the healthy birth of our son is a miracle.”
Arnold, 54, revealed the news of his impending fatherhood on The View in January. Groussman, Arnold’s fourth wife, conceived through in vitro fertilization. “I’ve tried with other people, but since there is a God we were unable to conceive. Now God said, ‘This is it!’” he said.
"We're really happy. I didn't think it was in the cards for me, to be honest, and so I was completely shocked," he admitted. “It's a miracle."
Arnold and Groussman tied the knot in 2009.
