The Balancing Act and MyRapidMD Want to Know-- Does Your Phone Have ESP?

It’s never easy when you drive by the scene of an accident.  You’re first thought is, I hope they’re alright, and normally the next thoughts that follow are-- what if it was me?  MyRapidMD says-- speed and information. Those are the two things that can make the difference between life and death.  The Balancing Act is pleased to have MyRapidMD on the show to help put some of those thoughts—at ease.  Tune in as they air on the Lifetime Channel, October 22nd at 7:30am. (EST/PST)

How can you provide critical emergency medical information if you are in an accident-- and you can’t communicate?  The Balancing Act invited Head ER Nurse, Richard Krutosik, who’s speaking on behalf of MyRapidMD.

Richard says, “When paramedics arrive on a scene – seconds literally matter. They don’t necessarily have the time or luxury to play twenty questions with a patient. Emergency professionals are trained to look to your cell phone for your critical information. Quick and easy access to vital info can help them save your life. MyRapidMD through the guidance and cooperation from firefighters, ER nurses, EMT’s created a mobile phone based application called Emergency Service Profile or ESP. It provides your critical emergency medical, identification and contact information in an accident or medical emergency.”

Even if there is no cell phone connection, you don’t have to worry!  MyRapidMD uses a software program that you download right onto your cell phone. Once it is installed, you don’t need any service connection.

Richard adds, “It has 17 fields of information that’s based on the universally recognized triage system. It lives on your phone with its own icon.”

If your cell phone is a vital part of your life—then adding an icon that can extend your “life’s” battery might be a good thing to consider.
