Dallas Mavericks Hold on to Beat Houston Rockets
Dirk Nowitzki had 26 points and 8 rebounds and Jason Terry hit two big free-throws to lift the Dallas Mavericks (44-9) past the Houston Rockets (33-19) 80-77.

Josh Howard finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds and Jerry Stackhouse added 17 points of the bench for the Mavericks.
Tracy McGrady finished with 27 points and 10 rebounds but struggled from the foul-line converting just 6 of his 11 attempts. As a team the Rockets were 20-31 from the line.
The Mavericks head into the NBA All-Star break with the best record in the NBA at 44-9. Dallas started the season 0-4.
