Lisa Vanderpump sees her elimination in week 4 of Dancing with the Stars as a relief, not a disappointment. In fact, Vanderpump says she never expected to win the competition.
"It's been six long weeks! I've got two shows, I've got two businesses and a business under construction. I have a lot going on!" the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star and restaurant owner said after the results show."We knew we weren't going to win . . . I'm a 52-year-old restauranteur, give me a break!"
The elimination came after a rough week for Vanderpump. She was sick with a cold and fainted during rehearsals. Vanderpump says she didn’t want her illness to stop her from performing her cha cha with partner Gleb Savchenko. "I knew I'd regret it if I didn't do it," she said. "I knew I wasn't well rehearsed, but I wanted to give it my best try."
"I have an element of relief, to be honest, because I have been feeling so crappy," she added. "I feel better today. It's been an incredible experience, and you can't minimize it, but wow, it's been tough, absolutely."
Savchenko said he has found a lifelong friend in Vanderpump. . "The whole experience was amazing," he said. "I'm going to miss the laughs – the jokes she makes. She's got a great sense of humor. I think we're friends for life. Seven weeks together, every single day. I've spent a lot more time with her [lately] than with my wife."
The remaining competitors are: Sean Lowe, Kellie Pickler, Jacoby Jones, Victor Ortiz, Aly Raisman, Andy Dick, D.L. Hughley, Zendaya and Ingo Rademacher.
