Cloud Storage Company Helps Customers Celebrate Earth Month, Every Month
Cloud storage provider, FilesAnywhere, rewards customers who use its services to decrease their dependence on paper by planting a tree on their behalf through the Arbor Day Foundation.
The second annual Plant a Tree Promotion from cloud storage provider, FilesAnywhere, begins today. FilesAnywhere will plant a tree on behalf of every user who signs up for an online storage plan or upgrades and existing plan during Earth Month.
The purpose of the promotion is two fold: to raise awareness for Arbor Day, and to remind users of the connection between between using cloud services and protecting natural resources, as illustrated in this infographic.
"FilesAnywhere users are already taking a step to protect the environment by using our services like cloud storage, online file sharing, and mobile faxing to decrease their dependence on paper," says CEO and founder of FilesAnywhere, Tim Rice. "We want to reward those who commit to continuing these actions by planting a tree on their behalf - to serve as a reminder of the good they are doing long term."
The promotion will continue until the end of April, spanning both Arbor Day and Earth Day.
The Arbor Day Foundation will plant the trees donated from the promotion in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest, located in Northern California.
