Texas stabbing spree suspect Dylan Quick has been charged with 3 counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for Tuesday’s attack at the CyFair campus of Lone Star College. Authorities say Quick, a Lone Star student, confessed to having spent time planning the spree. The 20-year-old also admitted to having violent fantasies.
"According to the statement the suspect voluntarily gave investigators, he has had fantasies of stabbing people to death since he was in elementary school," the Harris County Sheriff's Office said in a statement.
Quick used "a razor-type knife" in the attack, which left 14 people injured. It is unclear if all of the injuries are stab wounds. Part of the knife broke off during the attack and was left sticking out of one victim’s cheek, according to witnesses.
Steven Maida was among a group of students that tackled Quick and subdued him until authorities arrived. "He said, 'I give up,'" Maida tells reporters. "I asked him, 'Why'd you do this to these girls, why?' but he just stared up at me."
