NFL News: New England Patriots Release Joey Galloway

The New England Patriots have released 15-year NFL veteran wide receiver Joey Galloway after the 37-year-old saw limited action with the team this season.

Galloway was not on the Patriots active roster for the past three weeks and had just seven catches for 67 yards this year.

Galloway was the number one pick of the Seattle Seahawks in 1995 and remained with the team until he was traded to the Dallas Cowboys in 2000. Following his time with the Cowboys he played fro the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and then signed with the Patriots for 2009.
