Kim Kardashian appeared in court this morning for a mandatory settlement hearing in her divorce, but the reality star’s estranged husband Kris Humphries was a no-show. RadarOnline.com reports the NBA forward skipped the hearing because of the Brooklyn Nets’ game against the Indiana Pacers later in the day. He was represented by 3 attorneys. No other details on Humphries’ absence were immediately available.
Kardashian, who is currently 6 months pregnant with her first child with boyfriend Kanye West, wore white dress pants and a grey top. She appeared calm but serious as she was led to the jury box ahead of Judge Hank Goldberg calling the case. Goldberg then cleared the room of all reporters, citing confidentiality rules for divorce settlement talks. If the hearing fails to produce a settlement, Kardashian and Humphries will go to trial in May.
Humphries is seeking an annulment on the grounds of fraud. He has accused Kardashian of marrying him for publicity. The Keeping Up with the Kardashian star filed for divorce from Humphries in October 2011 after just 72 days of marriage.
