Gurinder Chadha plans to name twins after Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan

The director of “Bend it Like Beckham,” Gurinder Chadha, has announced she plans to name her twins after Bollywood’s most famous couple, Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan.

Chadha is expected to give birth in July and said “If I have a boy and a girl I will call them Ash and Abhishek."

The Kenyan born Chadha directed Aishwarya Rai in the 2004 film “Bride and Prejudice.” Her film “Bend it Like Beckham” was nominated for a Golden Globe Award in 2004. Her current project, “Dallas,” features John Travolta and Katie Cassidy. Chadha is also scheduled to direct the announced “I Dream of Jeannie” which has been rumored to star Jimmy Fallon and Kyle Chandler.

The Bollywood couple, Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan, announced their engagement in January.
