PORTLAND, OR, April 16, 2013 – Securus Payments, a premier merchant services company in the Portland area, is a firm believer in giving back to the community in which they serve, which is why they recently donated $300 to the Oregon Fallen Badge Foundation. The donation was presented on April 26th, 2013, and was given to representative, Crystal Purdy. Owner Steven Lemma and CFO Susan Waters were the presenters of the check.
Crystal states, "Thank you so much, your organization
is my hero. I can’t say how much I appreciate it.“
The donation was made possible through the Securus
Payments Pay It Forward Program.
"It’s tough in this day and age to get
funding for programs that are aimed at helping others. You have a bunch of
willing and able people to help, but no money to get them anywhere. Mychol
Robirds, President of Securus Payments explains. "I think it's important
for companies like ours who have been fortunate to step in and assist those who
haven’t. Until the economy gets going, people like us have to step in and be
that band aid."
This is the 3rd consecutive year that Securus
Payments has donated to charitable contribution. They are proud supporters of
their community and are delighted to continue to support the talent and efforts
of the Oregon Fallen Badge Foundation.
