Filly Brown, starring Gina Rodriguez, Jenni Rivera, Lou Diamond Phillips, Edward James Olmos and Emilio Rivera, opens in theaters Friday, April 19. The drama tells the story of an aspiring hip-hop rhymer who tries to hold on to her values as she seeks her shot at stardom.
The film has a runtime of 1 hour 39 minutes and is rated R for language, violence and some drug use.
