FBI: No Arrests In Boston Marathon Bombings

Federal and local authorities are denying reports a suspect in Monday’s Boston Marathon bombings was arrested today. It remains unclear if authorities even have any suspects.

“Despite reports to the contrary there has not been an arrest in the Marathon attack,” Boston police Tweeted.

The FBI said: “Since these stories often have unintended consequences, we ask the media, particularly at this early stage of the investigation, to exercise caution and attempt to verify information through appropriate official channels before reporting.”

Citing a federal law enforcement source, CNN reported that a suspect was identified through two videos filmed on the day of the explosion. One video was reportedly from a department store and the other was filmed by a Boston TV station.

"We will go to the ends of the Earth to identify the subject or subjects who are responsible for this despicable crime -- and we will do everything we can to bring them to justice," FBI special agent Richard DesLauriers said earlier this week. “Our mission is clear: to bring to justice those responsible... The American public wants answers. The citizens of the city of Boston and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts want and deserve answers."
