NFL News: Green Bay Packers Sign Ahman Green to Fill Hole Left by Injured DeShawn Wynn

The Green Bay Packers have brought back one of their most successful runners in franchise history, signing Ahman Green to fill the hole left by the injured DeShawn Wynn.

Green has not been with an NFL team since February after he was cut by the Houston Texans, the team he signed with in 2007 after leaving the Packers. In his two seasons with the Texans the four-time Pro Bowler collected just 554 yards, not nearly the success he had in a Green Bay uniform.

Green sits just 46 yards shy of surpassing Jim Taylor’s franchise running record of 8,207. He was originally drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the third round of the 1998 NFL Draft but was traded to the Packers after one season.
