Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Sam Bradford is expected to have season-ending shoulder surgery after reinjuring the arm in last Saturday’s 16-13 loss to the Texas Longhorns.
Bradford injured the shoulder in the Sooners first game of the season against BYU and after resting the shoulder for three games the junior returned and threw for 389 yards against the Baylor Bears. On Saturday he was in the game for less than a quarter when he was sacked by Aaron Williams and was forced to the sidelines.
Bradford, who won the Heisman Trophy Award last year, could still return to Oklahoma next year but he hasn’t ruled out entering the NFL Draft. He has already been ruled out of next week’s game against Kansas.
