Acie Law IV scored 21 points, had 7 assists and grabbed 7 rebounds and Joseph Jones added 21 points and pulled down 9 boards to boost the #6 Texas A&M Aggies (22-4) past the Oklahoma Sooners (15-10) 56-49.
The Aggies struggled for points in the first half and trailed 26-19 at the break but less than five minutes into the second half the Aggies had grabbed the lead 31-30. The game went back and forth and the Sooners were able to take the lead 38-37 with seven minutes remaining but the Aggies responded with an 8-0 run that gave them some breathing room.
Law was able to seal the game for the Aggies with four free-throws in the final 32 seconds.
David Godbold led the Sooners with 20 points.
With the win the Aggies moved into a tie with the Kansas Jayhawks atop the Big-12 standings at 10-2. The loss moved Oklahoma to 6-6 in the conference.
