Former Bosnian Serb Leader Radovan Karadzic Tells Court at The Hague he will Boycott Start of Trial

Former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic has told the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia that he would be boycotting the start of his trial at The Hague, stating his defense, led by himself, was not ready.

Karadzic is facing charges of genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity tied to the Bosnian war, all charges that Karadzic has denied.

Karadzic had been in hiding for more than a decade until he was found in Serbia last year and brought before the ICTY to face charges. His trial has already been delayed twice and while he has requested a third delay there is a chance the ICTY will proceed without him if he fails to appear on Monday.
