Khloe Kardashian now has one less reality show to worry about. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star will not be returning to host season 3 of The X Factor. In a statement Monday, producers confirmed Kardashian’s departure.
"Khloe Kardashian will not be returning to co-host 'The X Factor.’ We really enjoyed working with her and wish her all the best in her future endeavors,” the statement said.
Kardashian has not commented. She co-hosted the second season with Mario Lopez. Lopez will return to host the upcoming season solo. Judge and producer Simon Cowell says he is “thrilled” that Lopez is hosting again.
“I’m thrilled Mario is back for Season Three of 'The X Factor. Hosting a live show and keeping the judges — especially Demi [Lovato] — in line is not an easy job, but Mario is a pro and we are glad he’s coming back,” Cowell said in a statement.
Cowell and Demi Lovato are the only two confirmed judges for season 3 as replacements for Britney Spears and L.A. Reid have not yet been decided.
