Kon-Tiki, starring Pål Sverre Hagen, Anders Baasmo Christiansen and Gustaf Skarsgård, opens in theaters Friday, April 26. The adventure film centers on Thor Heyerdahl’s 1947 voyage across the Pacific in a wooden raft. Heyerdahl hoped the voyage would prove his theory that South Americans could have settled Polynesia.
The film has a runtime of 1 hour 58 minutes and is rated PG 13 for a disturbing violent sequence.
